Pulp Fiction Trivia
Jules:
Sylvester Stallone was briefly considered for the role of Butch.
Vince Vega:
You can see Vincent entering the bathroom at the beginning of the film, when Pumpkin and Honey Bunny are talking about robbery.
Mia Wallace:
In Son of a Preacher Man, the apostrophe in door is missing from Mias note. The script, however, has the note punctuated correctly.
The Wolf:
Harvey Keitels character in this movie has the same specialized job as his character in Point of No Return (1993).
The Briefcase:
Speculation abounds as to the nature of the mysterious glowing contents of the case:
The most persistent theory (most usually attributed to a friend of a friend who saw it posted on a message board by someone whose brother had read a report of a radio interview with Tarantino himself) is that it is Marcellus Wallaces soul. The story goes that when the Devil takes a persons soul, it is removed through the back of the head (this isnt part of any known religion, but this is what the message board posters say). When we see the back of Marcellus's head he has a Band-Aid covering the precise spot indicated by tradition for soul removal. Perhaps Marcellus sold his soul to the devil which would also explain why the combination to open the briefcase is 666.
Beatles Trivia:
The groups name had numerous inspirations. Stuart Sutcliffe noted that a motorcycle gang in the film, "The Wild One," was called 'The Beetles,' and John Lennon reportedly had a dream in which a man appeared "on a flaming pie," saying, "You will be Beatles with an 'a'." The band members were also influenced by the name of Buddy Hollys band, the Crickets. |
